This photo, taken in the late 1970s at a welcoming ceremony for visiting church officials in Waingapu, Sumba, shows two young women, living on Sumba, but from other neighboring islands.

 

The women on the left is from Sabu, located to the east of Sumba; the women on the right is from Flores, an island to the immediate north of Sumba.
